Yes, the new eKAPIC cranks specific for MTB ebikes are compatible with 4 of the main engine manufacturers such as Bosch, Brose, Fazua and Polini. To make it possible with the highest quality and compatibility standards, ROTOR has worked together with each of them, to achieve a perfect harmony between the new eKAPIC cranks and the Bosch® Gen 4, Brose® MAG, Fazua® engine systems. Evation, and Polini® E-P3 144 mm.

The new eKAPIC cranks provide an upgrade, that until now was almost impossible to achieve on an ebike, such as a narrower Q-Factor. At ROTOR we know the importance of biomechanics and pedaling efficiency and how much the current Q-Factor influences the different engine and crankset systems on ebikes. For this reason, the Q-Factor on the new eKAPICs has been lowered as much as possible to the following measurements, depending on the manufacturer: Bosch®; 171mm, Brose® MAG, 170 / 184mm, Fazua® Evation, 169mm and Polini® E-P3, 174m

In addition, and faithful to ROTOR’s philosophy of manufacturing super rigid, yet very light cranks, the new eKAPICs are made of CNC 6082 aluminum, using ROTOR’s Trinity Drilling System, in which three holes are drilled along the length of the crank arm to lighten it without compromising final stiffness. Using the TDS system, we have achieved crank weights of 403 grams for the Brose® MAG, Fazua® Evation and Polini® E-P3 systems, and 415 grams for the Bosch® Gen4 system.

In order for you to choose the crank length that best suits your engine system, bike size and your pedaling preferences, the new eKAPIC cranks are available for the 4 manufacturers mentioned, in 165, 170 and 175mm sizes.

And we have not only designed the cranks, but also the new Direct Mount chainrings to fit perfectly. The chainrings are made of CNC machined 7075-T6 aluminum and are available in 32, 34 and 36 teeth sizing, with a universal tooth system (Universal Tooth) that makes them compatible with all 1x groupsets for e-MTBs on the market. In addition, the chainrings are compatible with SRAM, Shimano and KMC mountain bike chains, both 11 and 12 speed.

Lastly, we do not forget how important it is to protect your cranks from hits and scratches, so the eKAPIC cranks have rubber protectors (in red, orange, pink, yellow, green, blue and black) that not only protect, but also add a touch of color to personalize your ebike. They have a weight of 16 grams and a set of black colored ones are included when you purchase a set of cranks.
