Fortunately, this 2021 season, which is now coming to an end, has been much more interesting at a competition level than the 2020 season, which was plagued with canceled or delayed events. A 2021 in which the memebers of the CST PostNL Bafang Team have been on the podium no less than 74 times. Of these, 34 races have been first places, something that has been key to finishing third in the UCI team ranking in 2021.

During the 2021 XCO World Cup season, Yana and Anne took the podium, with fantastic results. Yana did it at the Albstadt World Cup with a fifth place, and Anne with a super worthy third place at the Snowshoe World Cup event in the USA. In addition, David Nordemann, achieved a ´top ten´ with ninth place in the Men´s Elite Category at the same race as Anne Tauber in Snowshoe.

Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and a win in E-Bikes

Another of the most remarkable moments of 2021, were the last Olympic Games of Tokyo 2020. Postponed one year due to the global pandemic, we had 3 representatives of the CST PostNL Bafang Team, who obtained good results, including Yana Belomoina´s Olympic diploma, who finished eighth in the XC mountain bike event. Anne Tauber finished 11th and Sebastian Fini Carstersen 22nd in the men´s category.

The end on the season also had a surprise in store for us in the E-Bikes category, since Jeroen van Eck won the fourth racee of the UCI E-MTB World Cup, in the race that was held in Gerona, Spain. A unique victory for the team equipped with bafang´s motor and battery technology.

Team renewal for Paris 2024

We already mentioned it at the beginning, 2021 has been a year to remember for ROTOR as part of the CST PostNL Bafang Team, with those 34 victories achieved and the 74 times that ROTOR cranks have stood on the podium.

Now it is time to prepare for, among other objectives, the Olympic Games in Paris 2024, and for this, there are some exits and new faces to strengthen the team. Sebastian Fini, Mariske Strauss and Jeroen Van Eck leave the team after a great contribution, while we have new additions.

For the 2022 season, Lotte Koopmans from the Netherlans join the CST PostNL Bafang Team , Kjell van den Boogert also from the Netherlands, who returns to the team he was part of in 2019 and 2020, to compete in the E-Bikes category. Finally, we also have for 2022, a super strong rider and current XCO European Champion in the junior category, Oleksandr ´Sasha´ Hudyma from Ukraine.

From ROTOR we welcome you and wish you all the luck in the world for the 2022 season, in which we will look for all the wins possible.
