Rotors R-Volver hubs with the revolutionary, virtually contact-free freehub system rotate in the centre of the wheels. When rolling, a specially shaped toothed disc with bevelled teeth is pushed away from 6 bolts and the freewheel runs with extremely low resistance. This significantly reduces frictional resistance compared to other systems. With the slightest pedal movement, the pins shoot into the toothed disc and ensure a very direct frictional connection. The system is toothed over 25 teeth and therefore engages every 14.4 degrees during a pedal rotation. Because no fixed connection between the toothed disc and hub shell is required, the system saves weight compared to other freewheel systems. The freehub body is designed to accommodate the Rotor 13-speed cassettes.

The hub shells are 100% CNC machined. Contact-reduced bearing seals not only ensure a long service life, but also reduce the frictional resistance of the hubs when rolling. The milled hub flanges for J-bend spokes reduce the weight and give the R-Volver hubs their special look. The C45 wheels are each spoked with 24 Sapim CX-Ray bladed spokes in 2:1 lacing.
