1. Getting started with ROTOR UNO groupset

Before using the product, ensure that the rear derailleur and the shifters or levers are fully charged for proper operation. ROTOR UNO will always come with factory default settings, so you can either leave it as standard or customise it to your own preferences.

2. Installation

We always recommend that installation be carried out by a qualified professional to ensure correct operation. Incorrect assembly could result in serious injury or even death. If you decide to assemble it yourself, the first thing you need is the tools and safety equipment required.

Tools required:

  • 1.5 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 mm Allen key
  • 3 mm Torx key

Safety equipment:

  • Protective goggles and gloves

3. Battery Charging and Replacement

Battery type:

  • Rear Derailleur (Rechargeable Li-ion 600mAh - 15000 shifts)
  • Shifters/levers (CR2032 batteries)

Charging and replacing the battery has never been easier. To charge the rear derailleur, simply connect the charging cable (included in the box) to the magnetic port on the side and you will see the LED turn red. In the case of shifters or levers, replace the two CR2032 batteries with new ones.

4. Pairing with App

To make your life easier, we have developed a new app that will help you customise your ROTOR UNO groupset. You can also fine-tune each of the speeds and pair your other ROTOR components, all in one place.

  • Register on the app or via www.rotorbike.com
  • Pair your components with your smartphone via Bluetooth®.
  • Do the initial setup and set the rear derailleur to its ‘default’ position.

5. Initial Setup

There are two methods for performing the initial setup: using the app or adjusting the micro-adjustment screw on the rear derailleur. In either case, ensure that the rear derailleur is in the first gear and the bicycle is stopped to guarantee the accuracy of the adjustment.

6. Fine Adjustment

Before proceeding with this step, you must have correctly completed the initial setup. You can proceed with this step through the ROTOR App in the ‘Fine adjustment’ section.

Note: If there is any malfunction when upshifting or downshifting, try adjusting the value of the current gear and the adjacent gears so that the upper pulley wheel of the rear derailleur aligns with the teeth of the corresponding sprocket.

7. Manual Pairing

Once the entire groupset is assembled, you will need to pair the rear derailleur with the shifters or levers. To enter pairing mode on the rear derailleur, connect the charging cable (included in the box) to the magnetic port on the rear derailleur and the LED indicator will start flashing blue. In the case of shifters or levers, you will need to press any of the buttons for 5 seconds and it will start flashing blue, confirming that it has entered pairing mode.

If both the rear derailleur LED and the shifter or lever LED turn green, pairing has been successfully completed.

Press the buttons to confirm that pairing has been completed successfully. If you can control the rear derailleur shifts, pairing has been completed successfully.

8. Colour coding
