The SCOTT Cala Bandida pair swept the famous stage race in Burgos.

They kept the lead during the four days of the race, winning the race with ease. In addition, the second pair of the team, Guerra and Faus, had a great performance with two stage podiums.

ROTOR components were present during the whole race, including the 2INpower MTB DM Crankset and the Kapic Carbon cranks.

They started on Thursday 27th July with the time trial, a 28 km stage that would serve as a starting point for the rest of the long stages. From the first moment, the leading pair of the team found their best version and went out to beat the time trial. Sergio and Josemari finished in 1st place, while Guerra and Faus were also on the podium and finished in 3rd position.

Stage 2 was very similar to the previous one, with a very good pace from both pairs and with the same result. It was the following day, on the main stage, when a hitch caused both pairs to lose a lot of time. But the great condition of Sergio and Josemari made them able to come back and even get away from the group with a nice final getaway.

The last stage served to secure and confirm the great race and become the winners of Colina Triste. A new bandit territory conquered.

The next goal of one of our riders will be the XCM World Championships. Sergio Mantecón has been called up by the Spanish federation thanks to the achievements made during the season.
